2009

Boheem and Sophia Kapp’s Die ooreenkoms were launched simultaneously at Exclusive Books, Centurion as well as Waverley library in Pretoria and at Protea Book Shop in Potchafstroom. On all three wonderful occasions prof. Hans du Plessis was the facilitator .

Dreunkrans in Hermanus.
(‘Dreun’ means to roar or rumble and a ‘krans’ is a cliff)
Springklip (the cliff) in Springgety is obviously a lot higher, more dangerous and more difficult te reach and Kruisbaai’s sea a lot stormier but Dreunkrans and parts of Hermanus’ well-known Cliff Path was the inspiration.

My mom, Ina Meyer, was a true and steadfast inspiration to me.  Here we were on our way to a promotion of the Davel-reeks – a series of seven historical romances that form the saga of the Davel-family.  The photo was taken in front of my cottage.  We all had to wear hats.

1996

I receive the Perskor-prize for Best Romantic Fiction for my debut romance at a very glamorous do.  Here Alex, the cover-hero of my book, presents me with a huge bouquet.  Needless to say, a mere handshake was out of the question.
